You don't need to find the big one to have fun

I Recently came back from a week long vacation a short time ago were my wife and I did a little metal detecting along the way. No great or rare finds were made but we had a good time. I have been hunting for over 25 years and am still amazed at how much and how easy it is to find treasure every were. We found treasure in the parks, beaches, and resorts every were we went. Its fun picking up money.

Then again there is that exercise thing that happens. Its not a wild aerobic exercise but there is some walking, bending, and just the pleasure of being outside. If you like to meet and talk to people just take a detector to a beach or park and see how many people come up and ask, Finding anything? or, What ya doing? Some of these conversations have lead me to other sites that the person who came up to me knew of that I had never thought of. It can be very interesting talking to all these people and seeing all the places around your town you may never see or learn about without this hobby.

While on our trip we even had some excitement. My wife found her first indian penny. She stopped over and showed me as soon as she found it! That penny wasn't the most valuable item but it was a neat treasure and one that will be remembered for many years and, it was the main topic back at the resort that afternoon. Now that was fun.

If you go out and find $5 in change, well, your not going to retire on that but, if you do that 10 times that would be $50. This is more than enough for a nice dinner and a drink at many places. Plus, just being out finding treasure in any amount is fun. So get off that chair and go out and find some treasure for your self. You just may smile a bit more the next time the bill comes after dinner because you had fun finding the money and, you know this meal was free!
